Kristen has nearly 15 years experience in public relations and social media. After specializing in regional and national media relations in Los Angeles, a family move landed her in Austin where she founded POM Public Relations in 2010.

With a focus on consumer lifestyle, fashion, beauty, retail, design, and events, POM PR has worked with clients like Macy’s, MOSS Designer Consignment, Mirror Mirror Salon, Charm School Vintage, and Shaesby fine jewelry, to name a few. Events have included AIA Austin’s Women in Architecture, Austin Fashion Week, Austin Modern Home Tour, SXSW Style, Texas Style Council, and Waller Creek Conservancy’s Creek Show, among others.

Originally from Northern California, Kristen crisscrossed the state attending UCSD, earning a graduate degree at University of San Francisco, and then making her way to LA to pursue a creative career in the Entertainment Industry. Her first PR gig was with the inimitable Ronni Chasen at Chasen & Company PR, where she handled awards campaigns for “Best Score” and “Best Song” for leading motion picture studios including Disney, Fox Searchlight, Lions Gate Films, MGM, Miramax, New Line, Paramount Pictures, and Sony. Pre-camera phones and social media, she pulled out the ole’ point and click to capture a moment when covering interviews with Bono at NPR.

Kristen went on to work at B|W|R Public Relations where she worked on a wide range of corporate entertainment, hospitality and special event clients. She has serviced hot destinations Wynn Las Vegas, St. Regis Resort Monarch Beach, Korakia Pensione, and Pelican Hill; nonprofits GLAAD, Best Buddies International, and Sea Shepherd; and consumer brands General Motors and Nintendo. Event highlights include the opening of De Beers on Rodeo Drive, the launch of Miami’s Performing Arts Center, the unveiling of the Tesla Motors Roadster, and the opening of the Broad Contemporary Art Museum (BCAM) at LACMA where she met Takashi Murakami and walked David Byrne and Cindy Sherman down the red carpet!

Some of her favorite destinations are Big Sur, Buenos Aires, Paris and Valencia. On her top travel wish list: Cairo, Hong Kong, Marrakesh and Singapore. Wardrobe staples are black skinny Acne Studios jeans and on the weekends, Adidas hightops.
